Christmas cards and other things.

I have my prototype for the Christmas cards done. Thanks to

[info]grafix1da, I have been making my own Christmas cards for around 6 years now. I cheated the last two years I think and did the photo card, but this year I am going back to making them, and again reminding myself why I decided to go with the photo cards. Freaking one more pain in the ass thing that I really don't need to do right now. And yet there they are, ready to be stamped (rubber stamped that is).  My back is killing me for some reason, and sitting doing cards or typing or doing anything doesn't seem to  be agreeing with it.
I slept through most of Saturday. I have no idea why. I thought maybe I was coming down with a stomach bug, but I didn't. I was falling asleep on the couch with my head propped on my hand. I finally woke up later in the day and was fine after that. Could it be that I just needed that much sleep? I don't know. Twice in one week is a bit much for me. But of course at 5 in the morning I could hardly stay asleep on Sunday, I was just about done with sleeping. I just don't get it.
Shopping is mostly done. A few hard to buy for people still to go, and some more stuff for Himself. Haven't gotten him hardly anything yet.  He has almost $200. saved for his Wii. (No, we are not buying it for him for Christmas. Like his DS and Game Boy Advance, he has to save for it. We are just those kind of  parents who think that big ticket items like that should be earned and thus appreciated).  Anyway, he is almost there. Of course now he and Rythter are telling me that there are problems surfacing with the Wii.

We still don't have a tree yet. Maybe Friday. Right now I don't even have room for it, what with the trombone in the living room, the paper delivery bag and sundries for the papers. We were actually talking about going back to a table top sized tree this year. Now that is pathetic, but it does sound appealing. If the ceiling wasn't fake, we could do an  upsidedown tree hung from the ceiling. That was the rage a year ago I guess. Not sure how you water such a tree.

I sent  a letter to Tyson Chicken concerning their recent change in the packaging of their chicken patties. They doubled the size of the box,  and shrunk the chicken. They sent a nice letter, and some coupons, but apparently their market research tells them people want bigger boxes with less product in it. Yeah, my freezer is just so big, I need a lot of extra box to fill it up. You know, there is a reason I dig graves for a living. I am just too stupid to understand the subtleties of big business.  More box, less chicken (I know it's mostly soy flour anyway, but I'm going along with the illusion).  So needless to say I won't be needing their over-boxed chicken anymore.

Strangely, my back feels better. Must be the hunched over-ness that is helping.  Maybe I'm just getting old....

And before I forget it, which I almost did. Baroc (sp?) Obama should NOT run for president in '08. The man has NO experience, he  has only just  been elected to the Senate, and if he is going to take on a war in Iraq and so much more, please, please, let him get a bit more experience.  Hell, that was half of Kerry's problem. He's been in the Senate how long but couldn't say one thing he had actually DONE in with his time in there. I think Obama has charisma, and that got Reagan through two terms, even with Alzheimers, but Reagan was a governor first.  I hope Obama doesn't screw this up just because others are pressuring him to run.
